Winter School brings together students and faculty from leading institutions around the world for a seasonal event at the Innovation School’s Highlands campus in Forres. The programme includes lectures, workshops and networking opportunities, all based around a theme that is relevant to the citizens and businesses of the Highlands and Islands. Participants engage in collaborative working that spans different cultures, languages and disciplines, gaining an insight into what a career in design as a global activity looks like.

Winter School is attended by the Innovation School’s postgraduate students, along with their peers from Koln International School of Design (KISD), the Royal Academy of Art & Design (KADK) in Copenhagen and Audencia Business School in France, as well as other schools and students. Along with leading industry experts and academics, they explore new ways for design to address contemporary cultural and technological challenges. Our strong relationship with the local community in Moray provides opportunities to engage in projects with real-life consequences for our partner businesses and organisations.
